It is easy to pile your face with tons of makeup to achieve glowing skin but that would be a temporary fix that only harms your skin in the long run.
This post will give you loads of tips to glowing skin right in the comfort of your home.
If the skin is not treated at its core and given ingredients required naturally to keep it healthy, it won’t ever give its natural radiance.
You need healthy skin to have a flawless appearance instead of just piling up make-up.
A good combination of the right skincare, the right make-up products, and taking care of your skin from inside can deliver a luminous complexion.
Adopt a healthy lifestyle, exercise regularly, and have the right beauty routines to improve the look of your skin.
10 Best Tips To Glowing Skin
Exfoliate Regularly
Exfoliating your skin must be an important part of your beauty and skincare regime, excess dead skin on the face only makes your skin look dull.
There are a number of skin exfoliation products available in the market today to choose from.
Pick a product depending on your skincare needs and skin type.
To get glowing skin you first need to remove the impurities and debris from the skin’s surface.
Exfoliation is one of the best ways to help in brightening the skin and give a boost to the skin’s glow.
Exfoliation offers instant and long-term glowing benefits if done properly.
This is due to the fact that exfoliating your skin removes the dead skin cells that form the outer layer and makes it smoother, clearer and lighter(when removed).
The exfoliant is of two types: chemical and physical. Both of them help in removing the dead skin cells.
However, their method of operating is different.
Chemical exfoliants such as a face peel use a blend of Alpha-Hydroxy Acids.
AHA dissolves away dirt, excess oil, and impurities.
Physical exfoliants make use of small grains such as face scrubs which when rubbed onto the skin, removes dirt and grime manually.
Both work wonderfully but chemical exfoliants offer deep cleaning while physical exfoliants are preferred as a healthy way of cleaning.

Drink Plenty Of Water
Water is, without a doubt, the most important ingredient needed to hydrate your skin.
Your skin cells need to be kept hydrated or else they won’t stay healthy for long.
Lack of hydration leads to dull and tired-looking skin. It is important to at least drink 2 liters of water per day.
It will keep the skin moisturized and will also flush out the toxins from your body and keeping you hydrated.
If plain water is not your cup of tea ( I know I do not like or enjoy drinking plain water) then you can even drink a fruit infusion.
Fruits add flavor without the addition of harmful ingredients found in fizzy drinks.
In addition, they consist of vitamins and antioxidants that are good for your skin health.
Lack of hydration even accentuates the wrinkles on your skin.
Using a topical moisturizer in the morning and evening helps in replenishing the lost hydration.
Face lotions and creams tend to be more hydrating than the oils and serums. There are also emulsions which are a blend of oil as well as water components. They carry hydrating ingredients right into the skin’s top layers and help it in holding moisture.
Facial Massage
A facial massage improves blood circulation preventing the build-up of toxins in the skin cells.
It helps in draining lymph ensuring that pollutants have been removed from the skin.
Facial massages also help in relieving sore and stressed out portions of your face such as headaches, puffiness under the eye, and congestion. Facial massages are also good if you have sinus problems.
Get Your Beauty Sleep
Just like water, proper sleep is also very important for staying healthy and maintaining healthy skin.
Lack of sleep causes dark circles, puffiness under the eyes, dull appearance and fatigued skin.
It also affects your mood and mental energy.
Your skin repairs itself while you sleep. Not sleeping properly interferes with this process which then shows up on your skin the next day itself.
While you sleep, your skin works to repair itself. Including overnight skincare treatments into your beauty regime can help in achieving healthy and glowing skin.
Check this post from www.sleep.org where they go into detail how sleep benefits your skin.
Skin Cleansing
Cleansing helps in removing the makeup. It removes all the dirt, excess oil and impurities from your skin.
Clean skin will repair itself properly during the night. Cleansing your skin once isn’t enough to get all the dirt off your skin.
Use an oil-based cleanser first to get the excess oil off your skin and cleanse it again using a deep cleanser for cleaning your pores.
Cleaning is key to radiant and luminous skin. Wash your face in the morning as well as night.
Do some massaging while washing. Take a small dollop of face cleansing lotion and massage lightly with your fingers in circles on your face.
Include Vitamin-Rich Food Into Your Meals
Vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamins help in keeping your skin healthy and give it a healthy glowing complexion.
Yes, you read it right. What you eat shows on your skin.
Hence, be mindful of what you eat. It affects the glow of your skin.
Include fruits and antioxidants rich food in your breakfast.

Look For Skin-brightening Ingredients For Skin Care
When you go to buy skincare treatment products, look at the packaging of serums and moisturizers.
You may find the terms “brightening”, “Vitamin C”, and “skin tone-evening”.
These ingredients help in brightening the skin by reducing the pigment-producing enzyme.
Niacinamide slows down pigment production and helps lighten the dark spots on your face. Resorcinol and alpha-arbutin also break down the pigment to deliver even-toned skin.
Daily application of such products can illuminate your skin complexion with time. You can see the visible evidence of it within a few weeks.
Niacinamide has over 6,816 five star positive ratings from verified customers on Amazon, all these customers can`t be wrong.
Use A Face Mask
A face mask acts as an instant fix for a dulling complexion. It is temporary but it works.
A detox and charcoal face mask is a good bet. They hydrate the skin and remove congestion caused by dead skin cells and grime.
Use A Shimmery Lotion To Boost Skin’s Glow
There is a new range of hybrid skincare products called “glotions” in the market which is a mix of skincare and makeup(really they are illuminating moisturizers). They give an instant glow to the skin.
This hybrid range combines the hydrating benefits of your skin moisturizer with that of the skin highlighter.
Their formulation contains humectant ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
They draw moisture into the skin which makes the skin plump and smooth.
For application, apply smoothly like you would do with a face lotion evenly over your face.
Wear it before doing your facial makeup. Wear it alone if you want a natural look.
Exercise For A Healthy Glow
Exercise is another easy way to maintain glowing skin.
Working out increases your heart rate which means improved circulation.
It encourages the disposing of toxins.
Just do 30 minutes of exercise daily at least 3 times a week.
You are soon going to notice the improvement in your skin complexion, your overall mood, and your energy levels too.

Good tips you shared here and I really appreciate your generosity in sharing helpful information.
Aside from water, exercise, and sleep, I’m also interested in using charcoal face mask described in this article. The reason is, I got too many black heads in my face which I never bother removing using my hands pricking them as they are pesky and recurrent. I might also take the risk of getting infection especially if my hands are not sanitized properly before pricking hem. But with this charcoal face mask that you’ve shared, I think this will be the end of these black heads sprouting in my nose. I will give this a try.

You`re right, we should try to keep our hands off our faces but it can be hard with that “last blackhead” you need to squeeze.
Luckily, there are enough products in the market to remove blackheads without pain.
