 Home Microdermabrasion Kit

Having the ability to give yourself microdermabrasion treatments right at home sounds like a good idea. In fact, it’s better than good, it’s great. Not only will it enable you to get microdermabrasion treatments regularly, but it might also allow you to enjoy better skin and save money as well.

It’s simple enough to purchase a home microdermabrasion system, but make sure you know what you’re getting, exactly. If you’re looking to buy home microdermabrasion machines, do some research online. Check that your search results are talking about “microdermabrasion machines” and not a home exfoliation system.

As good as some of these scrubbing or exfoliating creams and massage/applicator tools are, they are missing one critical component of microdermabrasion, the suction capability.

While the abrading agents in the serums and creams can do a decent job of resurfacing the topmost layer of the skin, the suction feature of a home microdermabrasion machine can draw out deep-seated dirt and oil trapped within the skin’s pores.Read my earlier post on how microdermabrasion works.

Simple To Use Home Microdermabrasion Kits

Starting from teenage, pimples, acne and then fine age lines, all become an inevitable part of life. It is up to us to take proper care of our skin. Home Microdermabrasion Kits are an easy and effective skincare solution.

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure. It was developed in 1985 in Italy and has since increased in popularity. This system effectively exfoliates dead skin to bring back the glow on the face.

It is performed with the help of aluminum oxide microcrystals and specially designed Microdermabrasion Machines. The aluminum crystals work wonders for the skin by reducing fine lines, removing skin tan and lightening dark spots. It is also used for acne treatment.

Microdermabrasion Treatment is a simple process that takes no more than an hour. It was initially, strictly performed by cosmetic surgeons but now, with Home Microdermabrasion Kits available in the market, it can easily be done at home. Treatment at home is milder than that done at spas and clinics. It is cheaper too and takes very little time.

The home kits are not as compelling and complicated as those used in clinics. But they are quite capable and do not have side effects.

The home skincare kit mainly consists of cream and an applicator, to massage the cream into the skin. Some kits even have gels and moisturizers. The cream contains aluminum oxide crystals for exfoliation.

These Microdermabrasion Crystals often cause some skin irritation. To avoid the irritation, sodium bicarbonate or baking soda is also being used in some products. It is perfectly safe and efficient.

Microdermabrasion Creams are used on the face, but you can also use it on the body. The treatment also works on reducing stretch marks and makes them lighter. The cream has to be gently rubbed on the skin and then washed with lukewarm water. Some people apply the cream just before going out for a party. This is because it gives an instant glow to the skin just after use.

Since Microdermabrasion only works on the top layer of the skin, it is not the right treatment for serious skin ailments. It works best to improve following skin conditions:

1.Suntanned skin
2. Uneven texture
3.Hyperpigmentation
4. Superficial facial scars
5. Beautiful lines
6.Acne

It is suggested that people who have sensitive skin should not use these home facial kits too often. Those with acne prone skin should also avoid its frequent use. Microdermabrasion is a strict no for people using blood thinners or Retin-A. It is advisable they consult their doctor even before deciding on the use of Home Microdermabrasion Kits.

  1. I’m looking for a microdermabrasion kit for cellulite and I was wondering if there are some types of skin that should avoid it? I heard we should be careful when there are varicose veins but other than that I don’t know. Also, do you have any suggestions on which kit is the best to remove or at least softened cellulite patches on the legs? Thanks!

  2. This is fantastic – I recently had to cut down my visits to the salon due to a personal financial crisis, so this looks like the perfect solution. I have tricky, sensitive skin though, so I’m a bit hesitant. Do the microdermabrasion creams cater for that? Is there a brand or formula that you recommend?

The Microdermabrasion Kits seems to be very attractive. I will show this article to my daughter so that she can decide whether she want to try this out.

      Hello Daniella

Thanks for stopping by,acne creams tend to deal with the problem on the surface whilst microdermabrasion will deep clean the skin.I`d suggest your daughter use microdermabrasion on her face first then go on with the cream,it does not really do much to the face applying creams on the surface without a good clean.
